Batavia Park District issued the following announcement on June 13.
Windmill City Festival is a local tradition for many families. Each year it attracts more than 13,000 people to the tri-cities area. This year’s event will be held July 13-15 at the Batavia Riverwalk, and festival organizers are seeking groups or individuals interested in volunteering at the event.
Volunteers are needed to assist with games, security, festival maintenance, and more. Anyone who signs up to work a shift will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt and be invited to a fun Volunteer Recognition Event on July 25.
Volunteering is a great way to build team spirit, give back to the community, and to learn new skills. Anyone interested in donating their time is asked to call Amy Sarro, HR & Risk Manager, at 630-879-5235 ext. 2015 or email amys@bataviaparks.org.
The Windmill City Festival is organized by the Batavia Park District, Batavia Chamber of Commerce and City of Batavia.
