Central Community Unit School District 301, which serves Kane and DeKalb counties, recently shared updates on various school activities and achievements through its social media platform. The district's communications provide insights into sports events, the celebration of school staff, and student entrepreneurial successes.

On May 6, 2025, the district highlighted an important event for the girls' soccer team with a tweet stating: "LUNCHTIME LINEUP: The girls soccer team has a pivotal matchup tonight with Prairie Ridge. Don't forget that all soccer matches are held on the fields behind Howard B. Thomas Grade School on the Central Campus." This announcement aimed to rally support for the team's game scheduled at their designated sports venue.

The following day, May 7, 2025, Central Community Unit School District 301 acknowledged the contributions of its school nurses. In a tweet they expressed gratitude by saying: " Today we celebrate the steady presence of our school nurses. From daily meds to scraped knees to moments that require steady hands and steady hearts — they’re always there. Our nurses are a vital part of what keeps our schools safe and supported."
