Judson University issued the following announcement on Nov. 20
The Judson University Women's Volleyball Team has assured its second NCCAA National Championship Appearance in the past three seasons as the Eagles won the NCCAA North Central Region Championship on Saturday for the first time in Head Coach Julia Fahy's tenure. The top-seeded Eagles took down the second seed Trinity International in three sets on Saturday to win the region.
Natalie Kofie got the start at setter for Judson and played well with 12 digs and 12 assists. Libero Enola Varga (18) and Kenia Diaz Vega (12) also had double-digit digs for Judson. Lindsay Lawlor had 15 assists and nine digs for Judson in the contest. Emmaline Davey led Judson with 10 kills, while seniors Mackenzie Ebert and Katie Valeria had nine and seven kills respectively. Ebert contributed defensively with six digs, while Valeria had two solo blocks, tied with the team lead along with Alyssa Gerzel. Gerzel added six kills for Judson in the contest as well.
The NCCAA National Championship will begin on Thursday, December 2 from Point Lookout, MO
