BATAVIA PARK DIST QUARRY PARK: Taste of Batavia Block Party Held Labor Day Weekend

Batavia Park Dist Quarry Park issued the following announcement on July 30.

Batavia MainStreet, in partnership presenting sponsors Xfinity & First State Bank will host the annual Downtown Batavia Block Party – Taste of Batavia will be held Sunday, September 2nd from 4 to 9 p.m. on North River Street and at the Peg Bond Center.

The event will be held in downtown Batavia. Batavia restaurants will line Batavia’s Riverwalk during the event for $3 food tastings as well as $6 and $9 larger plate options from your favorites.

“The Block Party is going to be a great night in downtown Batavia full of music and fun,” states Batavia MainStreet board member, committee chairman and owner of Music Matters School of Music, Jeff Matter. “This is the chance for everyone to enjoy a block party because downtown is everyone’s neighborhood.”

There will also be a variety of $3 and $6 alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available and live music from locals Evan Reid and River City Revival with our always engaging headliners Dick Diamond and the Dusters. Join us for a classic car cruise night, pie bake-off, twist-off and hula-hoop competitions, and children’s activities area with free bounce houses.
