Held at Historic Village Hall - 2 South Main St. - Algonquin

Regular Meeting Wednesday, October 12, 2016 – 7:00 p.m. – 2nd Floor

1. Calltoorder-EstablishQuorum.

2. Approve Minutes of Regular Business Meeting of September 14, and Workshop

Meetings of September17and 24, 2016.

3. PublicComment -Audience Participation.

4. Old Business:

a. Interview Project-status report

b. Report on Grand Opening & Open House and production results for

enlargements of some vintage Algonquin views from the Commission

used as wall decor at Clarendale Senior Living Center.

c. Opportunities for Scout Troop Visits-contact with Troop Leaders.

5. Approve Bills for Payment.

6. New Business;

a. Report on Sept21, meeting of theJ oint Council of McHenry County

Historic Groups.

b. Ideas for creation of new exhibit for display case at the Library (main

library on Harnish).

7. Correspondence, Comments, or Other Business

October Public Workshop Meetings:

October 15 and 22, 2016 held at Historic Village Hall, 2 S. Main Street, Algonquin,

from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., held on the second floor.

Workshops are open to the public and focus on duties ofthe Commission including

research, working with our collections of artifacts, photos, maps, and reference

materials, as well as working on exhibits or special events. Additionally, atthe

Workshops, wewelcome the opportunity to provide assistance to residents or visitors

seeking information, looking to research Algonquin families, buildings, businesses or

organizations, orjust wanting to learn about or experience our local history "hands on"

through old photos, written records, artifacts, newspapers, vintage postcards, etc.
