The City of Aurora has started a series of Special Finance Committee Meetings today at 1 p.m. to review proposed budgets from each department as part of preparations for the 2026 budget cycle.

The process will end with a final overview during the Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, December 2 at 5 p.m. The City Council is scheduled to vote on approval at its meeting on Tuesday, December 9, starting at 6 p.m. All meetings are being held on the second floor of City Hall at 44 E. Downer Place.

Public participation is encouraged throughout the budget process. Each meeting will include time for public comment and will be accessible through live streams on several platforms: the City of Aurora’s YouTube channel, Aurora Community Television (Channel 10 Xfinity/Channel 99 AT&T U-Verse), the City’s Twitch Channel, and via the City of Aurora app available on both the App Store and Google Play.
