Central Community Unit School District 301 used its social media accounts on November 11 and 12, 2025, to share details of its Veterans Day celebrations across schools in Kane and DeKalb counties.
On November 11, the district posted: "Today, we pause to thank the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, integrity, and sacrifice. Our schools are celebrating #VeteransDay with assemblies, student performances, and heartfelt tributes to those who protect our freedoms. #WeAreCentral https://t.co/mbmx4Ar6jp".
Later that day, another post highlighted activities at Lily Lake Grade School: " 'We are forever grateful.' Those words from a Lily Lake 4th grader said it best. On November 12, the district recognized a special guest: " We’re Thankful.
