The Illinois Flag Commission has initiated the public voting phase for the redesign of the state flag. This follows a review of over 4,800 submissions. The voting period will remain open until February 14.

Once public voting concludes, the results will be forwarded to the Illinois General Assembly. The feedback gathered during this time will play a role in shaping the General Assembly's ultimate decision regarding the future design of Illinois' state flag later in the year.

Notably, among the ten final designs under consideration is the current state flag itself.

For those interested in participating, votes can be cast through the Illinois Flag Commission.
