Independence Day traffic campaign targets impaired and distracted driving

Extra patrols will be on the roads during the Independence Day period to monitor impaired drivers, distracted driving, and seat belt violations. The initiative is aimed at ensuring safety during the celebrations.

"Please plan for a sober ride home before you leave the house," stated Batavia Police Chief Eric Blowers. He added, "Celebrate responsibly — your safety and the safety of others depends on it."
