Judson University will host its annual Homecoming and Family Weekend celebration from September 22- September 24 on the Elgin campus (1151 N. State St., Elgin). Judson University looks forward to celebrating the richness of its community, inviting students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and community members together to celebrate the power of shaping lives at Judson University!
The Judson Student Organization (JSO) will kick off the Homecoming festivities by inviting current students to participate in Judson’s Homecoming Dance and Spirit Week starting the Monday prior to Homecoming weekend.
Many events taking place over Homecoming will be offered in-person and online. Virtual Networking Day, taking place on Thursday, September 22, will feature three opportunities for students and JU Alumni to network with one another in-person through on-campus events and virtually with access via Zoom. Judson will host one-on-one networking with Alumni for students that day as well as host the “Ask Me Anything” Alumni Panel which will feature a panel of Alumni eager to share their best tips and real-world experiences with Judson students! Finally the day will conclude with Judson’s annual Network Night event Thursday evening, which brings a distinguished speaker to the Judson campus to share their professional journey while also providing helpful insight pertaining to career development and leadership.
Other exciting events over the weekend include: Celebrating alumni on Friday, September 23, beginning with Chapel, Lunch in the Cafeteria, Open Houses, and our anniversary year gatherings for ’67, '72, '77, '82, '87, '92, '97, '02, '07, '12, '17, '22. The day also will include the Alumni Banquet and Awards Ceremony in the evening. All alumni are invited to celebrate and catch up with their fellow classmates!
Saturday, September 24, kicks off showcasing Judson athletics through a 5K, alumni and student games, and Judson’s annual Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet. The weekend will conclude with family activities featuring Residence Life tours and Academic Department Open Houses. Saturday also provides the Judson community with an opportunity to celebrate 10 years of the Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts (DCWPA) with a DCWPA Alumni and Student concert that will begin at 7:00 p.m.
