“Rebirth” poetry in downtown storefronts celebrates National Poetry Month this April

44

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Aurora Downtown will feature a dozen poems in downtown storefronts throughout April.

Poet Laureate and Aurora Downtown board member Karen Christensen put out a call to local poets for poetry with the theme “rebirth.”

Christensen selected a dozen poems by the following local poets which will be featured in storefront windows as part of a self-guided walking tour during April.

The tour is within walking distance from the Stolp Island Parking deck at the southeast corner of Stolp Avenue and Downer Place. Free surface lot parking is available in the City Lot across from City Hall at 44 E. Downer Pl. Free street parking is also available.
