Village of Burlington Finance Committee Met Feb. 9.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Present: Village President Bob Walsh, Village Clerk Katie Adams and Matt Krueger.
Open the Meeting: Chairman Ernie Jackson opened the meeting at 5:05 p.m.
Roll Call: Trustees: Ernie Jackson and Jim Daffron were present.
Absent: Treasurer Mitch Dander
The purpose of the Committee meeting is for the following agenda:
Open the meeting.
Roll Call.
Guests: (3 minutes for those not on the agenda)
Approval of the June 3, 2020 Finance Committee meeting minutes.
Essential Items to be Discussed Prior to End of Fiscal Year 2020 for Fiscal Year 2021.
Review 9 Month v Budget and Compare to Previous Year.
Budget and Appropriations Planning.
Adjourn the meeting.
Trustee Jim Daffron made a motion to approve the June 3, 2020 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes. Trustee Ernie Jackson seconded the motion. Ayes: Trustees: Ernie Jackson and Jim Daffron. Two ayes, motion carried.
Essential Items to be Discussed Prior to End of Fiscal Year 2021 for Fiscal Year 2021. The purpose of this meeting is to compare last year’s budget to actual. The Committee reviewed the budget and compared the last three years budgets and averages.
Review 9 Month v Budget and Compare to Previous Year: Most items on the Budget Report are in line with what was budgeted for. Matt Krueger will prepare a projected budget based on the highest numbers from the last three years as requested.
Budget and Appropriations Planning. Budgeting and appropriations must be completed within 30 days of the end of the fiscal year, May 31, 2021. Chairman Ernie Jackson will update the Board on Budget and Appropriations Planning at an upcoming Board Meeting in either February or early March 2021.
It was noted Village Raymond James accounts are doing well at this time. These accounts will need to be revisited every few years.
Adjourn the meeting. Trustee Ernie Jackson made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Jim Daffron seconded the motion. Ayes: Trustees: Ernie Jackson and Jim Daffron. The meeting adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
