Several organizations in Elgin are offering support to residents who are experiencing food insecurity. The city has highlighted these services through the Elgin Human Services Resource Guide, which lists local food banks, pantries, and meal programs.

The guide aims to help both individuals facing temporary difficulties and those needing long-term nutritional assistance. It is available for download in English and Spanish. Residents can also find more information on the Human Services Resource page of the city’s website.

According to a statement from the city: "If you or your family are facing food insecurity, the city of Elgin is reminding residents that several local organizations are available to help anyone in need of food support."

The resource guide is part of ongoing efforts by the city to ensure that all community members have access to essential services during times of need.
