City of Aurora issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
The City of Aurora is seeking the next youth ambassadors to wear the crowns as the 2020 Little Mr. Aurora and Little Miss Aurora and the application deadline is Tuesday, November 5, 2019!
As the current Little Miss Aurora Alaria Selmon and Little Mr. Aurora Benjamin Mendoza prepare to conclude their official duties, the nomination process is now open for their successors.
The contest is open to students in elementary school who live in Aurora and are comfortable in front of an audience.
Parents can complete an online nomination form at www.aurora-il.org/1981/2020-Little-Mr-Miss-Aurora.
Each nomination must include a video of the candidate addressing the topic: Why I should be the next Little Mr. or Little Miss Aurora. Videos of a minute or less can be submitted via the online application or emailed to MyAurora@aurora-il.org.
The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
