City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.
A friendly reminder that Elgin's no-sticker bagged yard waste pickup season starts on Tuesday! You won't need to purchase and apply stickers to properly-bagged lawn clippings, leaves, and other yard waste from Tuesday until November 30th. So if you're squeezing in some yardwork this weekend between raindrops and your regular pickup day is Tuesday or later in the week, don't slap a sticker on those bags!
