City of Aurora issued the following announcement on May 17.
Instead of making the trip to Geneva, residents can conveniently come to downtown Aurora and pay their property taxes at the Kane County Clerk’s Aurora Office, 5 E. Downer Place – Suite F.
Mayor Richard Irvin visited Kane County Treasurer David Rickert (left) at the office this week to thank him and Kane County Clerk Jack Cunningham.
One of the goals in opening the Kane County Clerk’s Aurora Office was to make services more convenient and accessible to Aurora residents. The partnership between the Clerk’s Office and the Treasurer’s Office to take property tax payments in Aurora helps to meet that goal.
The first installment of property taxes is due June 3.
The Clerk’s Aurora Office hours are Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. 8:30am-4:30pm; Wed. 8:30am-8:00pm
