71 percent of applicants to Judson University were admitted for fall 2017

At Judson University, 71 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Elgin enrolled 1,283 students in fall 2017, including 1,081 in undergraduate and 202 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

70 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 22 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (48 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (22 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 757 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
