Cost of college went up for all students at Judson University

Tuition and fees rose 2.5 percent for 2017-18 at Judson University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $29,434 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $704 more than the $28,730 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 144 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.23 million and 101 students took out student loans totaling more than $742,545.

Including all undergraduates, 1,072 students used grants or scholarships totaling $13.44 million. Another 576 took out $6.3 million in federal student loans.
