Report: Kaneland spent $13,121 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Kaneland Community Unit School District 302 is up 13 percent from five years ago, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Kane County school district spent $11,563 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,121 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4799 to 4481.

Kaneland's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
