Central Community Unit School District 301 shared updates this week on student achievements, athletic events, and employment opportunities through a series of posts on its official social media account.

On November 4, the district posted about an upcoming sports event: "LUNCHTIME LINEUP: On today's menu, your Central Rockets head to Elmhurst tonight looking to advance to their @IHSA_il Sectional Final in 12 years. First serve at 7:00 PM at IC Catholic. Let's go Rockets!! TICKETS: https://t.co/BIJfwJAFhz #WeAreCentral #IHSA https://t.co/IZgmYDy9eJ"

The following day, November 5, the district recognized students for positive behavior on school transportation with the post: " October Bus Buddy Winners! A big congratulations to our students who went above and beyond to show kindness, respect, and responsibility on their routes! Central Community Unit School District 301 serves Kane and DeKalb counties and includes several schools such as Central High School and Prairie View Grade School. The district’s teaching staff consists of 280 educators with an average salary of $58,199; nearly 78 percent are women. Student demographics indicate that the population is predominantly White (65.3 percent), followed by Hispanic (16.5 percent) and Asian (12.2 percent) students (Illinois State Board of Education). In fiscal year 2020, per-student spending was $19,244 with total expenditures reaching nearly $85 million.
