At the recent Committee of the Whole meeting, Mayor John Laesch recognized the City of Aurora Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) and officially designated August as National Emergency Management Awareness Month in Aurora.

The declaration aims to highlight the importance of emergency management efforts within the city. It also serves as an opportunity for residents and officials to acknowledge the contributions of AEMA staff in maintaining public safety and community resilience.

"This month serves as a time to recognize the critical role that emergency management plays in the safety and resilience of Aurora, and to express appreciation to the City's hard-working AEMA team!"
