State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) will join the Campton Hills Police Department to host a Prescription Drug Drop Off Event on Thursday, August 14. The event is scheduled from 9-11 a.m. at the Campton Hills Police Department, located at 40W270 La Fox Rd., Suite B.

Residents are encouraged to participate in this free outdoor event by bringing unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs for safe disposal. Attendees can remain in their vehicles during the drop-off process and are asked to bring medications in sealed plastic bags if possible.

“I invite everyone to utilize this opportunity to safely dispose of these substances that can become dangerous when in the wrong hands,” stated Rep. Ugaste. “Thank you to the Campton Hills Police Department for hosting this free outdoor event.”

Items accepted for disposal include tablets, capsules, patches, vaping devices and cartridges with lithium batteries removed, prescription ointments, pet medications, and vitamins. Liquids such as intravenous solutions, syringes, needles, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.

Ugaste has represented Illinois' 65th House District since his election in 2019 after succeeding Steven Andersson as state representative (https://ballotpedia.org/Dan_Ugaste).
