The painting of the Kirk Road tower is different from the Dodson tower based on sandblasting, but the majority of the specs are similar. He also advised that the tower on Kirk will take less time.
On a question by Mayer, Supt. Van Gyseghem noted that bidding will go out in late July and he expects that it will take 4-6 weeks to complete the project.

On a question by Ald. Mayer, Dep. Dean stated that the previous purchases were available within six months. It is estimated that it will now take six to seven months before the vehicles are on the streets.
On a question by Ald. Furnish, Dep. Dean stated that the last purchase of cars included two standard and two hybrid vehicles. There was considerable fuel mileage savings with the hybrids. There are different mechanical components for the repairs and maintenance of the hybrids so it is difficult to know at this time if the cost savings is significant.
On a question by Ald. Bowring, Dep. Dean stated that there has been positive feedback from the officers who have used the hybrid vehicles.
