The Village has outlined the necessary documents and regulations for obtaining a permit to operate golf carts and electric UTVs. Applicants must submit a completed Golf Cart/Electric UTV Permit Application, along with a copy of a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a $150 permit fee. The fee can be paid via cash, check, or credit/debit card.
Operators must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driver's license. Vehicles must have brakes, seat belts, steering wheels, rearview mirrors, red reflectorized warning devices, slow-moving emblems, and functional head and taillights.
Usage is restricted in public parks, sidewalks, or private property without owner permission. Operation is allowed only on Village streets with speed limits of 35 MPH or less. Parking is permitted in legal stalls except for angled parking on State St. Crossing County or State roads is limited to intersections.
