The city of Elgin has extended the deadline for its Active Mobility Plan survey to Friday, August 1. The plan seeks to enhance sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and accessible pathways throughout the city.
Residents are invited to complete a brief online survey to share their experiences and views on walking, biking, and using mobility devices in Elgin. Community feedback will help shape the plan’s goals and priorities. The survey is available at elginil.gov/ActiveMobility-Survey.
"The Active Mobility Plan is an exciting opportunity to envision how Elgin can better support safe, inclusive and connected travel for everyone," said Sustainability Manager Kristin Iftner. "We want the community’s voice to guide the plan’s priorities and ensure it truly reflects local needs."
The plan builds on Elgin’s existing infrastructure and past planning efforts to promote healthier lifestyles, environmental sustainability, and equitable transportation access.
