The City of St. Charles is launching a new podcast titled 'City Insider,' aimed at exploring the human side of public service through conversations with city staff and elected officials. The first episode is set to premiere on June 20.

Co-hosted by Lisa Garhan and Kara Silva from the city's communications team, the podcast will take listeners behind the scenes of essential city services. Each episode will feature two segments: a discussion with staff on a service-centered topic, followed by insights from local elected leaders.

The limited series consists of six episodes that will air from June 2025 to April 2026. Episodes will be available on the City of St. Charles website, Spotify, and YouTube starting June 20.

The debut episode includes a discussion about mental health for first responders featuring Fire Chief Jeremy Mauthe and Police Patrol Commander Rob Vicicondi. It also features an interview with newly elected Mayor Clint Hull, who discusses leadership and reflects on his initial days in office.

Recording takes place at the Sound Studio in the St. Charles Public Library.
