Elgin seeks public feedback on draft climate action plan

The City of Elgin is seeking final public feedback on its draft Climate Action Plan, with the comment period ending on Wednesday, May 28. The plan includes strategies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing sustainability, and fostering community resilience.

Resident input is considered crucial to align the final version with the values and priorities of Elgin's citizens. Feedback is being gathered in six key areas: Commercial Energy, Residential Energy, Transportation & Mobility, Public Health & Safety, Sustainable Resource Consumption, and Sequestration & Biodiversity.

Community members are encouraged to review the plan and provide their comments online at elgincap.mysocialpinpoint.com.
