The City of Aurora has been selected to join the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) 2025 LEED For Cities Cohort. As one of only 16 cities nationwide chosen for this initiative, Aurora will gain access to resources aimed at enhancing sustainability, resilience, and quality of life.

"The City of Aurora is honored to take part in the LEED for Cities cohort,” said Mayor John Laesch. “This partnership will allow Aurora to develop a more sustainable planning process, while taking significant steps toward reducing climate change and promoting a more resilient and equitable City.”

The program, managed by the USGBC, will support Aurora in its ongoing efforts to encourage green building and development practices.
