On May 5, a ceremony was held to welcome the newly elected and re-elected officials of St. Charles into office. The event began with the final meeting of the previous City Council, where outgoing members were recognized for their service. Following this, eight officials took the Oath of Office at a Swearing-In Ceremony conducted by Judge Susan Clancy Boles at a nearby fire station.
The evening concluded with the first official meeting of the new City Council, led by Mayor Clint Hull. This gathering marked the beginning of a new chapter for the city’s governance. Attendees experienced a sense of community and celebration throughout the proceedings.
The officials sworn in include Mayor Clint Hull, Ward 1 Alderperson Ronald Silkaitis, Ward 2 Alderperson Ryan S. Bongard, Ward 3 Alderperson Vicki Spellman, Ward 3 Alderperson Robert W. “Bob” Gehm (unexpired 2-year term), Ward 4 Alderperson Bryan Wirball, Ward 5 Alderperson Steve Weber, and City Treasurer John R. Harrill.
