Illinois Democrats urged to prioritize ethics reform after Madigan's conviction

Even though Mike Madigan has been found guilty, the culture of corruption he fostered during his decades in control at the Statehouse lives on. House Republicans have proposed numerous anti-corruption measures that could be enacted today to put the power back in the hands of Illinoisans, but the majority party refuses to get serious on ethics reform.
