Kane County offers rent and utility help to prevent homelessness

Kane County is providing assistance to low- to moderate-income renters through a program aimed at preventing homelessness. The initiative covers up to 12 months of past-due rent, three months of future rent, and up to 12 months of overdue utility bills. Additionally, security deposits for new rental units are included in the aid.
