The City of Batavia is seeking a qualified mechanic to join its team. The position requires strong diagnostic skills, hands-on repair experience, and a commitment to public service. While ASE certifications and a Class A CDL are considered advantageous, they are not mandatory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment. Duties include performing diagnostics on hydraulic and computer systems to ensure the fleet remains operational throughout the year.
This is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. On-call availability is also required.
