1. Call To Order
Chairman Strathmann called today's meeting to order at 9:00 AM.

3. Remote Attendance Requests
Chairman Strathmann announced the remote attendance requests for today's meeting.
She asked the Committee if there were any objections to Committee Members Tarver and Williams attending remotely. There were no objections.
4. Approval of Minutes: September 24, 2024 & October 16, 2024
Committee Member, Juby, requested to separate the minutes. She asked to abstain on the minutes from October 16, 2024. She moved for a voice vote. Committee Member, Tarver, seconded. Minutes were approved by roll call vote.

6. Public Comment
Kane County resident, and Christian, Jean Meyer, spoke on the importance of republicans and democrats uniting together as Americans.
Kane County resident, Lori Powell, spoke about her opposition to Covid-19 vaccines.
She suggested that the Kane County Health Department fully inform residents of the dangers of Covid vaccinations. Powell noted that $1B was spent on advertising to push falsehoods about Covid vaccines, boosters, masks, and social distancing. This lead to school and business closures that was forced on the American people. She indicated that a link to a 113 page document titled "we can do this," campaign was emailed to all public health committee members, including a brief overview of the deception of the Centers of Disease Control and the Human Health and Services Department. Powell strongly urged board members to read the documents and include this information on the Health Department's website.
Kane County resident, Mike Meyer, spoke about experiencing several symptoms from getting the Covid-19 vaccine. He recommended approaching the vaccine with extreme caution.
Kane County resident, and Committee Member, Young, addressed that the open Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) report has still not been linked on the County website. He reviewed the recent mNRA vaccine reports, including 5K miscarriages, 22K heart attacks, 28K cases of myocarditis, 72K permanently disabled, and over 40K life-threatening illnesses, 47K allergic reaction cases, and 16K cases of shingles. Young strongly urged this link to accurate reports be put on the website so that citizens are aware of these potential problems that can occur when getting these vaccines.

9. Executive Director
A. Health Department Updates
Kane County Health Department (KCHD) Exec. Dir. Isaacson announced that Dir. Onwuta and her staff hosted a successful communicable disease conference last week. Health Protection Div. Dir. Onwuta stated that the event has been very successful. Isaacson highlighted the Kane County HealthTalk podcast is another way to connect to the public with good health information.
The latest episode featured Rush Copley's Hillary Knowles, for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Lastly, a free zoom webinar for adults and caregivers will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m., and repeated at 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Seniors will learn about resources including local health services, access to benefits, care giving support, financial and legal assistance, and community programs that support independence and well-being. Individuals can go to the kanehealth.com website to register and submit any questions in advance.
