The McHenry County State’s Attorney has published a report analyzing the effects of the SAFE-T Act. The findings indicate several changes in crime and justice statistics since the act's implementation.

According to the report, there has been "a 30% increase in crime by those on pre-trial release compared with those on cash bail." Additionally, the county has seen "an increase in the jail population" and "a 280% increase in failures to appear (FTA)." Furthermore, there is noted "a 35% reduction in restitution paid to crime victims."

These statistics provide insight into how the SAFE-T Act has impacted McHenry County's criminal justice system.
