Residents will soon see construction on Millennium Park, 725 Red Barn Lane, underway. The project involves construction and installation of new paths, gardens, outdoor exercise equipment, a half-basketball court and playground equipment. Construction is expected to be completed early this summer. 

"The current equipment lasted well beyond its typical service life, which is generally about 15 years," says Maria Cumpata, Director of Parks and Recreation. "We are excited to update this facility for the community."

Millennium Park, which serves the Woodbridge North and Columbine subdivisions, was originally built in 2000. Partial funding for this project is supported through an Illinois Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant in the amount of $338,000.
