March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. In partnership with our Senior and Disability Services Division, we would like to highlight the selfless work of community members who continue to advocate for those living with disabilities.

Meet Sara Gray! She is the Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for Kane (South), DeKalb, and Kendall Counties. Her work throughout the Aurora area spans over 20 years, beginning as a Special Education teacher, to now, leading NAMI KDK's local chapter!

NAMI is one of the nation's largest grassroots mental health organizations dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI's award-winning services include community education, local presentations on mental health, and youth programs!

Join us in commending Sara and NAMI during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!
