The Office of the Illinois Attorney General has recently released information regarding charges made against an Elgin police officer for possession of Child Pornography.

“The officer was placed on administrative leave immediately following the arrest with additional action expected following review of the criminal charges,” said City of Elgin Police Chief Ana Lalley. “The criminal actions of a single police officer do not define the Elgin Police Department. This department will never deviate from upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability and dedication to the community it serves.”

The case is within the jurisdiction of the Attorney General’s Office and DeKalb County. No further information will be released by the City of Elgin at this time. View the Attorney General’s news release.
