The City of Elgin will be celebrating the 2023 National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, from 6 - 8 p.m.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The National Night is held every year on the first Tuesday in August. Elgin celebrates by encouraging neighborhood parties and then visiting the parties with a team of City Officials, Police, and Mascots and also Fire Department personnel.

Please consider hosting a party. You can host a simple get-together or plan a large party! The most important thing is to bring your neighborhood together—be creative!

If you chose to host a block party, please register at this link: https://forms.gle/LNRhCFGiPWXCFAiXA

Registration must be received by June 30, 2023. Only registered parties will be visited by the City teams. For more information, you can contact our Community Relations/Crime Prevention unit at 847-289-2530.
