Kane County voter turnout in Illinois’ April 4 Consolidated Election was 49,910, or about 16% of 305,317 registered voters.
That's according to the Kane County Clerk's unofficial results.
Countywide, between 2011 and 2023, the number of ballots cast increased by 8,387. Over the same time period, the number of registered voters rose by 42,558.
Kane County voters cast 40% more ballots -- an increase of 14,140 -- in 2023 than in the last Consolidated Election, on April 6, 2021.
Typically, Consolidated Elections include contests for elected office in cities and villages, parks, library and fire protection districts and school boards.
