The Aurora University women's basketball team returned to Thornton Gymnasium to continue their winning ways Wednesday night. The Spartans hosted the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago and were victorious 76-66 to extend their win streak to nine games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans got off to a fast start and led 13-0 four minutes into the first quarter.- The visitors responded with a 12-3 run, but the Spartans held onto a 19-12 lead going into the second quarter.
-To start the second, the Cougars brought themselves within two, but a layup by Jaylah Mays and three pointer by Kamryn Bullock got the Spartan offense going.
- AU went on a 15-2 run to extend their lead 39-22 with less than two minutes remaining on the clock.
- With five seconds left before the half, Kamryn Bullock hit a three and AU led 44-29.
- During the third period, the Spartans maintained their lead and continued to out shoot the Cougars, heading into the fourth quarter 56-46.
- The Cougars started to chip away early in the fourth going on a 4-0 run.
- Macy Kocen scored nine point in the fourth as AU led 70-57 with 2:58 remaining in the half.
- The Spartans led comfortable for the rest of the quarter as they tamed the Cougars, winning 76-66.
