Holiday events in downtown Aurora

Join us for a festive holiday season in downtown Aurora. Christkindlmarket is coming to Aurora from November 18 through Christmas Eve. Come celebrate with us in downtown!

Art and Market Aurora

Sat. Nov 19 | Dec 10 & 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Society 57 An indoor holiday market is back at Society 57 for three fall dates. Shop locally made! Free to enter!

Winter Lights

Fri. Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visit Downer Place and Stolp Avenue for holiday festivities that will kick off the holiday season. A parade, fireworks, photos with Santa, food trucks, and more. Follow the link for more information.

WINTER LIGHTS PARADE 6:30 p.m. on Downer Place and travel from Water Street to River Street. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will lead the parade with an exciting array of costumed characters, community groups, performers, public safety vehicles, and the magical Christkind from the Christkindlmarket Aurora!

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY After the parade at the GAR Memorial Museum, 23 E. Downer Place.

FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA Immediately following the ceremony. The best viewing location will be on the East Downer Place Bridge near Aurora City Hall, 44 E. Downer Pl.

FREE PHOTOS WITH SANTA After the fireworks, free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the G.A.R. Memorial Hall.

FOOD TRUCKS, VENDORS, AND MUSIC 6 to 9 p.m. along Stolp Avenue, between Downer Place and Galena Boulevard, will be filled with food trucks, artisan vendors indoors at Artesan Lofts Gallery, roaming costumed characters, and musical entertainment at Millennium Plaza.

Cocoa Crawl

Fri. Dec. 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. Mugs are on sale now! Buy a mug and a button to participate in this year’s Cocoa Crawl on Friday, December 2 in downtown Aurora. Buy mugs at the following locations until they sell out:

  • Aurora Historical Society, 20 E. Downer Pl.
  • Society 57, 100 S. River St.
  • Tredwell Coffee, 14 W. Downer Pl.
  • Wyckwood House, 80 S. River St.
  • Art & Market Aurora at Society 57 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 19
Art & Market will have a guaranteed number of mugs on sale, starting at 9 a.m. until they are sold out.

Santa at the Gazebo

Saturday, Dec. 3 & 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at Millennium Plaza in downtown Aurora for a free photo download. Grab a hot chocolate from Tredwell Coffee!

Downtown Holiday Trolley

TROLLEY MAP

New this year to coincide with Christkindlmarket at RiverEdge Park, Aurora Downtown will feature a Downtown Holiday Trolley on Saturdays from noon to 3:30 p.m. from November 19 to December 17. The trolley, generously sponsored by Invest Aurora, will make four stops while making a loop through downtown Aurora, beginning and ending at Aurora Transportation Center on Broadway.
