For the fifth consecutive season the Aurora University women's volleyball team played in the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament with the Spartans taking on Calvin University at Calvin in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Thursday night. AU dropped the match 3-1 to end another successful volleyball season. Senior Vanessa Brown led the Spartans attack with 19 kills while senior Kaitlyn Beebe had a double-double with 30 assists and 14 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU came out fast and following a Samantha Juarez ace, AU led 9-4 and forced a Calvin timeout.
- Later in the first set the Spartans led 16-8.
- Calvin rallied on a 17-4 scoring run and won the set 25-20.
- Vanessa Brown had a set leading five kills with Sydnei Avery adding four in the first.
- The hosts carried the momentum into the second set and defeated AU 25-16.
- The third set saw AU trail 6-3 but the Spartans rallied and the score remained within a point or tied until back to back kills from Vanessa Brown gave the Spartans a 21-19 lead.
- AU rode the momentum and won the third set 25-22.
- The Spartans hit a night best .220 in the third set victory.
- The fourth set saw the two teams go back and forth until the Spartans took advantage of Calvin errors to go up 14-11.
- Later on in the fourth, Brown connected on back to back kills and AU led 21-20.
- The final six points did not go the Spartans way with three attack errors allowing Calvin to win 25-22.
- AU fell in the match 3-1.
