Q2: Algonquin (Kane County) experienced a 4.9% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Algonquin in Kane County rose by $14,500 while total sales decreased by 25 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $307,500 - a 4.9 percent increase over the $293,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 40 homes sold in Algonquin in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Algonquin for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $7,573, approximately 2.5 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
