Meeting started at 3:31.

APPROVE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

Motion: To approve the Executive Session minutes from June 8, 2021

Motion: To approve the Regular Meeting minutes and Executive Sessions 1 & 2 minutes from July 6, 2021

CORRESPONDENCE

INVOICES:

Motion: To approve Invoice: 2007243 from Stephen A. Laser and Associates, in the amount of $550 for a Police Officer Candidate Assessment for Jacob Wollenweber.

NEW BUSINESS

Motion: To approve the 2022 Board of Fire and Police Budget as presented. Including paying the application fees for the 2022 Entry Level Police Written Exam.

The Board discussed the 2021 Fall IAFPC Conference – Nov. 5 – 7, 2021, Naperville, IL. Deputy Chief Craig Hanson left the meeting at 3:45 p.m.

Police Department

Motion: To enter into Executive Session to Discuss Police Personnel at 3:45 p.m.

Voice Vote: 3 Ayes, 0 Nays, 0 Absent. All in favor. Motion carried

Motion: To return to Open Session at 4:32 p.m.

Police Sergeant Promotional Exam Update: The Oral Interviews will be on September 15-16, 2021. All 3 Commissioners are needed at the Oral Interviews. The Assessment Center Orientation will be October 5, 2021, and Assessment Center – October 11-13, 2021.

Motion: To accept the Sergeant Exam Written Tests Scores from the testing company Resource Management Associates as presented to the Board.

Secondary Eligibility Register Testing Update: 26 Applicants qualified to take the written exam. This exam was available to the applicants to be taken online August 31 – September 2, 2021. We have not received the results from the testing company Stanard and Associates, but they anticipate that we they will have them scored and will send them by the end of this week.

Motion: To have a Special Meeting on September 15, 2021, at 9:15 a.m. The sole purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the results of the written test and the Initial Eligibility list for the Secondary Police Register.

There being no further business to consider, a motion was made by Commissioner Zies to adjourn the meeting at 4:39 p.m. Seconded by Secretary Anderson. All in favor. Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:39 p.m. The next regular meeting will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021, beginning at 4:00 p.m. This meeting may be held in the Batavia Police Department Conference Room or remotely via Zoom.
