North Aurora-Countryside Fire Protection District responded to 237 calls in 2018 - 6 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in North Aurora-Countryside included 32 fires - 11 structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 13 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $418,000 in fire loss - or about $13,063 per fire.

The department also received 204 false calls, including five malicious calls and 199 other false calls.

The North Aurora-Countryside Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $5,938,339 in 2018.
