Analysis: Aurora pays $4.27 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Aurora Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81 percent of the $18,009,686 the Aurora Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.27 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Aurora contributed $14,593,748 to the fund, which saw a $1,638,073 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $3,415,938, or 19 percent, in 2018.
