Analysis: Batavia pays $4.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Batavia Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.1 percent of the $2,324,512 the Batavia Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Batavia contributed $1,909,286 to the fund, which saw a $130,635 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $409,531, or 17.6 percent, in 2018. Another $5,695 came from other unspecified sources.
