Analysis: Elburn pays $4.58 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Elburn Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.2 percent of the $235,876 the Elburn Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.58 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Elburn contributed $193,972 to the fund, which saw a $63,459 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $42,291, or 17.9 percent, in 2018.
