Analysis: Geneva pays $4.07 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Geneva Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.8 percent of the $1,711,492 the Geneva Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.07 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Geneva contributed $1,365,906 to the fund, which saw a $25,696 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $335,276, or 19.6 percent, in 2018. Another $10,310 came from other unspecified sources.
