Analysis: Gilberts pays $4.90 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Gilberts Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.1 percent of the $368,133 the Gilberts Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.90 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Gilberts contributed $305,825 to the fund, which saw a $65,628 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $62,308, or 16.9 percent, in 2018.
